CAMPECHE CHAIR A/P

The Campeche chair was very popular in the 1800’s - early 1900’s; found in locations such as Plantations and Haciendas; built for sitting comfortably on a veranda and sharing conversation, a drink, or a fine cigar — “a Gentleman’s chair”

Dimensions: 35”d x 49 3/4” ht. x 28” w

Materials: American Sweet Birch - (Quilted-Burl) with cow leather.

Construction — hand made — using Heirloom time honored techniques - mortise & tennon joinery with locking pegs.

Finish — hand rubbed and burnished Danish Oil.

Michael Moss — Master American studio furniture maker — Fredericksburg,Texas 1975 to present. Moss’s works are rare & unique in the fact that he has always worked alone and has created approx. 800 one of a kind pieces of furniture in his lengthy career. His work has been bought and collected by Historical Societies, Conservation Societiess, Historical Foundation of Texas, private collectors and museums. Moss continues to make furniture at the rate of 4-6 pieces a year.
